The Good Life is kind of a mess as gamers can encounter by looking at its Metacritic scores. That shouldn't be that surprising for fans of the director's other works. Swery, or Swery65, is about known for Mortiferous Premonition. That series is the very definition of rough around the edges. Despite the litany of glitches and other technical issues, that serial gathered a strong fan base due to the wild story and characters.

That's a highlight for The Expert Life as well. It could employ a lot of performance maintenance such as fixing the frame rate. Sometimes the game tin can look like a terminate-motion blithe characteristic due to the frame charge per unit dropping. The technical issues will hopefully get solved with patches but there are some deeper mechanics that could use some tweaking also.

8 Add A Save Button

The save menu from The Good Life

The Skillful Life has two ways players tin relieve the game. In that location is an autosave characteristic and then in that location is an pick to save at home in bed. The manual save banks to the aforementioned area as the autosave data which is strange merely not unheard of.

Another indie game from 2021, Eastward, did this every bit well. It would be neat if the developers patched in a mode to relieve anywhere and for these files to be split up from the autosave area.

7 Allow Naomi Jump

Exploring the world in The Good Life

Ane of the funniest features in The Good Life allows Naomi to skip instead of walk or run. Not many games come to heed with a dedicated skip push button. There is a catch though. Naomi tin can't jump. This looks a little ridiculous when she tin can't climb or bound over fences that are barely at her knees.

Thankfully players can hop over walls as cats or dogs, but it would be nice if there was at least a "vault over" activity prompt in Naomi's human being form equally well.

6 Amend Map Functionality

The map from The Good Life

There are several things wrong with the map that can frustrate players. At that place is no way to zoom in which makes finding the all-time path la to have a scrap tricky.

There is also no way to place markers around the earth. It seems like an easy ready to patch in these two abilities. These two features go paw in paw with open up-world games and non having either in The Good Life is a true mystery.

5 Better Fast Travel

Exploring the world in The Good Life

At that place is fast travel in The Practiced Life but it is non as smoothen every bit information technology could be. When on the map players can warp back home from anywhere in the game. This does cost energy but that's a small price.

There are also shrines across the world which, when found, can send players from shrine to shrine or back home as well. The play a joke on is that each warp will cost money and it isn't cheap either. The price should become mitigated in an update or removed altogether.

iv Limit The HUD

Exploring the world in The Good Life

The HUD is very decorated in The Skillful Life. Many mod titles allow players to tone down what is and what isn't displayed in the HUD. Sometimes the HUD will disappear and reappear with context. For example, that's how information technology can piece of work in Kena: Bridge of Spirits.

There are no options like that correct now and so adding them in with a patch would be much appreciated. Information technology's always a skillful idea to learn from the best.

3 Go Rid Of The Coin Penalty In Death

Naomi from The Good Life

There is a price to pay in death likewise losing progress. Players will lose a part of the coin that is on hand at the time of death. This is how the games in the Dragon Quest serial work also. That series, and The Good Life, does have a solution to secure money though: banks.

Players can store money and admission it via ATMs. The trouble is having to backtrack to town every time players want cash for an objective. It would exist dainty if this capital punishment could be turned off every bit an selection or if players could admission their money easier similar through a debit card.

ii Improve The Quest System

Stalking an animal as a cat in The Good Life

If the developers don't want to tone downwards the HUD and so there is some other solution to aid mitigate screen clutter. Quests will always be displayed in the middle left corner of the screen. It doesn't matter if it is a side quest or the main objective: they will always be there. It would be nice if quests didn't take up that much space.

There is another quest-related outcome. But one quest can be highlighted at a time. This means if i objective is shut to another, players won't know that until it is too late. Tracking multiple quests at a fourth dimension is a standard for open-globe games in order to save time. The Good Life could learn from that.

ane Add A Subtitles Pick

Naomi from The Good Life

Near of The Good Life is told through speechless text boxes. There are voiced cutscenes too but these apply the same fashion of text. These text boxes can't be turned off, unlike subtitles in other games.

Some gamers may wish to feel these cutscenes without the clutter of text getting in the way. Calculation in an option to remove them altogether would be not bad. Voicing more than dialogue, in general, would also be a treat although that seems harder to produce in a brusk amount of time for a patch.

The Good Life was released on October fifteen, 2021, and is bachelor on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox I.
